Ask God for wisdom with faith

There are moments in life when we know exactly what to do, and there are others when the fog covers the path completely. James writes to Christians who were going through concrete trials, and the first practical guidance he offers is not an action plan, but an address: seek God. "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." James 1:5. Note that wisdom here is not the accumulation of information, but discernment to act correctly in the face of what life demands.
