THE PARABLES OF JESUS IN MATTHEW
By Jean Carlos da Silva · October 7, 2026
It is an exegetical commentary on the parables of Jesus recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, from a Pentecostal perspective. It begins with an introduction to the gospel (authorship, date, historical context, comparison with other biblical books, and outline) and then analyzes 17 parables, from the Lamp (Mt 5:15-16) to the Talents (Mt 25:14-30). Among them are the Parable of the Sower, the Parable of the Weeds and the Wheat, the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant, and the Parable of the Ten Virgins. It closes with a conclusion and a list of contributors. I based this description on the summary and opening pages, not on a complete reading of all 142 pages.
