Firmness in the Freedom Conquered

There is a kind of weariness that only those who have been set free know: the weariness of being tempted to return. Paul writes to the Galatians after announcing to them the gospel of grace, and what he finds is people inclined to place again on their own shoulders chains that had already been broken. That is why the apostle does not begin with theological explanation, but with a command: stand firm.
