Song of Songs 8

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

mi yitencha keach li yonek shede imi emtsaacha vachuts eshakcha gam lo-yavuzu li

im-chomah hi nivneh aleha tirat kasef veim-delet hi natsur aleha lucha arez

14[Ela] : Vem depressa, meu amado!
