Song of Songs 2
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
ani chavatselet hasharon shoshanat haamakim
keshoshanah ben hachochim ken rayati ben habanot
ketapucha baatse hayaar ken dodi ben habanim betsilo chimadti veyashavti ufiryo matok lechiki
heviani el-bet hayayin vediglo alay ahavah
5Sustentai-me com passas, fortalecei-me com maçãs; porque estou fraca de amor.

semolo tachat leroshi vimino techabkeni

10Meu amado me responde, e me diz:[Ele] : Levanta-te, querida minha, minha bela, e vem.
