Psalms 95
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
lechu nerannah layhvah nariah letsur yishenu
asher-lo hayam vehu asahu veyabeshet yadayv yatsaru
6Vinde, adoremos, e prostremo-nos; ajoelhemo-nos perante o SENHOR, que nos fez.
bou nishtachaveh venichraah nivrchah lifne-Yahweh osenu
7Porque ele é o nosso Deus, e nós [somos] o povo do seu pasto, e as ovelhas de sua mão. Se hoje ouvirdes a voz dele,
ki hu elohenu vaanachnu am marito vetson yado hayom im-bekolo tishmau
al-takshu levavchem kimrivah keyom masah bamidbar
9Onde vossos pais me tentaram; eles me provaram, mesmo já tendo visto minha obra.
asher nisuni avotechem bechanuni gam-rau faoli
