Psalms 66
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
lamnatsecha shir mizmor hariu lelohim kal-haarets
zamru chevod-shemo simu chavod tehilato
imru lelohim mah-nora maasecha berov uzcha yechachashu lecha oyvecha
4Toda a terra te adorará, e cantará a ti; cantarão ao teu nome. (Selá)

6Ele fez o mar ficar seco, passaram o rio a pé; ali nos alegramos nele.
hafach yam leyabashah banahar yaavru veragel sham nismchah-bo

8Vós povos, bendizei a nosso Deus, e fazei ouvir a voz do louvor a ele,

havetanu vamtsudah samta muakah vematnenu

avo vetcha veolot ashalem lecha nedaray
14Que meus lábios pronunciaram, e minha boca falou, quando eu estava angustiado.
asher-patsu sefatay vediber-pi batsar-li

19Mas certamente Deus [me] ouviu; ele prestou atenção à voz de minha oração.
