Psalms 14
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Salmo de Davi, para o regente: O tolo diz em seu coração: Não há Deus.Eles têm se pervertido, fazem obras abomináveis; não há quem faça o bem.
לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ לְדָ֫וִ֥ד אָ֘מַ֤ר נָבָ֣ל בְּ֭לִבּוֹ אֵ֣ין אֱלֹהִ֑ים הִֽשְׁחִ֗יתוּ הִֽתְעִ֥יבוּ עֲלִילָ֗ה אֵ֣ין עֹֽשֵׂה־טֽוֹב׃
lamnatsecha ledavid amar naval belibo en elohim hishchitu hitivu alilah en oseh-tov
2O SENHOR olhou desde os céus para os filhos dos homens, para ver se havia alguém prudente, que buscasse a Deus.
יְֽהוָ֗ה מִשָּׁמַיִם֮ הִשְׁקִ֪יף עַֽל־בְּנֵי־אָ֫דָ֥ם לִ֭רְאוֹת הֲיֵ֣שׁ מַשְׂכִּ֑יל דֹּ֝רֵשׁ אֶת־אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Yahweh mishamayim hishkif al-bene-adam lirot hayesh maskil doresh et-elohim
3Todos se desviaram, juntamente se contaminaram; não há quem faça o bem, nem um sequer.
הַכֹּ֥ל סָר֮ יַחְדָּ֪ו נֶ֫אֱלָ֥חוּ אֵ֤ין עֹֽשֵׂה־ט֑וֹב אֵ֝֗ין גַּם־אֶחָֽד׃
hakol sar yachdav neelachu en oseh-tov en gam-echad
4Será que não têm conhecimento todos os que praticam a maldade? Eles devoram a meu povo [como se] comessem pão, [e] não clamam ao SENHOR.
הֲלֹ֥א יָדְעוּ֮ כָּל־פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י אָ֥וֶן אֹכְלֵ֣י עַ֭מִּי אָ֣כְלוּ לֶ֑חֶם יְ֝הוָ֗ה לֹ֣א קָרָֽאוּ׃
halo yadu kal-poale aven ochle ami achlu lechem Yahweh lo karau
5Ali eles se encherão de medo, porque Deus está com a geração dos justos.
שָׁ֤ם ׀ פָּ֣חֲדוּ פָ֑חַד כִּֽי־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים בְּד֣וֹר צַדִּֽיק׃
sham pachadu fachad ki-elohim bedor tsadik
6Vós envergonhais os planos do humilde, mas o SENHOR é o refúgio dele.
עֲצַת־עָנִ֥י תָבִ֑ישׁוּ כִּ֖י יְהוָ֣ה מַחְסֵֽהוּ׃
atsat-ani tavishu ki Yahweh machsehu
7Ah, que de Sião venha a salvação de Israel! Quando o SENHOR restaurar o seu povo de seu infortúnio, Jacó jubilará, Israel se alegrará.
מִ֥י יִתֵּ֣ן מִצִּיּוֹן֮ יְשׁוּעַ֪ת יִשְׂרָ֫אֵ֥ל בְּשׁ֣וּב יְ֭הוָה שְׁב֣וּת עַמּ֑וֹ יָגֵ֥ל יַ֝עֲקֹ֗ב יִשְׂמַ֥ח יִשְׂרָֽאֵל׃
