Psalms 143
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Salmo de Davi: Ó SENHOR, ouve minha oração; inclina teus ouvidos às minhas súplicas; responde-me segundo tua fidelidade [e] tua justiça.
