Psalms 137

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Junto aos rios da Babilônia nos sentamos e choramos, enquanto nos lembramos de Sião.

עַ֥ל נַהֲר֨וֹת ׀ בָּבֶ֗ל שָׁ֣ם יָ֭שַׁבְנוּ גַּם־בָּכִ֑ינוּ בְּ֝זָכְרֵ֗נוּ אֶת־צִיּֽוֹן׃

al naharot bavel sham yashavnu gam-bachinu bezachrenu et-tsion

2Sobre os salgueiros que há no meio dela penduramos nossas harpas.

עַֽל־עֲרָבִ֥ים בְּתוֹכָ֑הּ תָּ֝לִ֗ינוּ כִּנֹּרוֹתֵֽינוּ׃

al-aravim betochah talinu kinorotenu

ki sham sheelunu shovenu divre-shir vetolalenu simchah shiru lanu mishir tsion

4Como cantaríamos canções do SENHOR em terra estrangeira?

im-eshkachech yerushalim tishkach yemini

bat-bavel hashdudah ashre sheshalem-lach et-gemulech shegamalt lanu

9Bem-aventurado aquele que tomar dos teus filhos, e [lançá-los] contra as pedras.

אַשְׁרֵ֤י ׀ שֶׁיֹּאחֵ֓ז וְנִפֵּ֬ץ אֶֽת־עֹ֝לָלַ֗יִךְ אֶל־הַסָּֽלַע׃

ashre sheyochez venipets et-olalayich el-hasala
