Psalms 130
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Cântico dos degraus: Das profundezas clamo a ti, SENHOR.
shir hamaalot mimaamakim keraticha Yahweh
2Ouve, Senhor, a minha voz; sejam teus ouvidos atentos à voz de minhas súplicas.
adonay shimah vekoli tihyenah aznecha kashuvot lekol tachanunay
3Se tu, SENHOR, considerares todas as perversidades, quem resistirá, Senhor?
ki-imcha haslichah lemaan tiuare
kiuiti Yahweh kiutah nafshi velidvaro hochalti
nafshi ladonay mishomrim laboker shomrim laboker
yachel yisrael el-Yahweh ki-im-Yahweh hachesed veharbeh imo fedut
vehu yifdeh et-yisrael mikol aonotayv
