Psalms 115
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Não a nós, SENHOR; não a nós, mas a teu nome dá glória; por tua bondade, por tua fidelidade.
לֹ֤א לָ֥נוּ יְהוָ֗ה לֹ֫א לָ֥נוּ כִּֽי־לְ֭שִׁמְךָ תֵּ֣ן כָּב֑וֹד עַל־חַ֝סְדְּךָ֗ עַל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃
lo lanu Yahweh lo lanu ki-leshimcha ten kavod al-chasdcha al-amitecha
2Porque as nações dirão: Onde está o Deus deles?
לָ֭מָּה יֹאמְר֣וּ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אַיֵּה־נָ֝֗א אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃

3Porém nosso Deus está nos céus, ele faz tudo o que lhe agrada.
וֵֽאלֹהֵ֥ינוּ בַשָּׁמָ֑יִם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵ֣ץ עָשָֽׂה׃

4Os ídolos deles são prata e ouro, obras de mãos humanas.
עֲֽ֭צַבֵּיהֶם כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֑ב מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗ה יְדֵ֣י אָדָֽם׃

5Têm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, mas não veem;
פֶּֽה־לָ֭הֶם וְלֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ עֵינַ֥יִם לָ֝הֶ֗ם וְלֹ֣א יִרְאֽוּ׃

6Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; tem nariz, mas não cheiram;
אָזְנַ֣יִם לָ֭הֶם וְלֹ֣א יִשְׁמָ֑עוּ אַ֥ף לָ֝הֶ֗ם וְלֹ֣א יְרִיחֽוּן׃

7Têm mãos, mas não apalpam; têm pés, mas não andam; nem falam com suas gargantas.
יְדֵיהֶ֤ם ׀ וְלֹ֬א יְמִישׁ֗וּן רַ֭גְלֵיהֶם וְלֹ֣א יְהַלֵּ֑כוּ לֹֽא־יֶ֝הְגּ֗וּ בִּגְרוֹנָֽם׃
yedehem velo yemishun raglehem velo yehalechu lo-yehgu bigronam
8Tornem-se como eles os que os fazem, [e] todos os que neles confiam.
כְּ֭מוֹהֶם יִהְי֣וּ עֹשֵׂיהֶ֑ם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵ֣חַ בָּהֶֽם׃
kemohem yihyu osehem kol asher-botecha bahem
9Ó Israel, confia no SENHOR; ele é sua ajuda e seu escudo.
יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל בְּטַ֣ח בַּיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖ם וּמָגִנָּ֣ם הֽוּא׃
yisrael betach bayhvah ezram umaginam hu
10Ó casa de Arão, confiai no SENHOR; ele é sua ajuda e seu escudo.
בֵּ֣ית אַ֭הֲרֹן בִּטְח֣וּ בַיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖ם וּמָגִנָּ֣ם הֽוּא׃
bet aharon bitchu vayhvah ezram umaginam hu
11Vós que temeis ao SENHOR, confiai no SENHOR; ele é sua ajuda e seu escudo.
יִרְאֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה בִּטְח֣וּ בַיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖ם וּמָגִנָּ֣ם הֽוּא׃
yire Yahweh bitchu vayhvah ezram umaginam hu
12O SENHOR tem se lembrado de nós; ele há de abençoar; ele abençoará a casa de Israel; ele abençoará a casa de Arão.
יְהוָה֮ זְכָרָ֪נוּ יְבָ֫רֵ֥ךְ יְ֭בָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל יְ֝בָרֵ֗ךְ אֶת־בֵּ֥ית אַהֲרֹֽן׃
Yahweh zecharanu yevarech yevarech et-bet yisrael yevarech et-bet aharon
13Ele abençoará aos que temem ao SENHOR; tanto os pequenos como os grandes.
יְ֭בָרֵךְ יִרְאֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה הַ֝קְּטַנִּ֗ים עִם־הַגְּדֹלִֽים׃
yevarech yire Yahweh haktanim im-hagdolim
14O SENHOR vos aumentará, vós e vossos filhos.
יֹסֵ֣ף יְהוָ֣ה עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם עֲ֝לֵיכֶ֗ם וְעַל־בְּנֵיכֶֽם׃
yosef Yahweh alechem alechem veal-benechem
15Benditos sois vós [que pertenceis] ao SENHOR, que fez os céus e a terra.
בְּרוּכִ֣ים אַ֭תֶּם לַיהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
beruchim atem layhvah oseh shamayim vaarets
16[Quanto] aos céus, os céus são do SENHOR; mas a terra ele deu aos filhos dos homens.
הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם שָׁ֭מַיִם לַיהוָ֑ה וְ֝הָאָ֗רֶץ נָתַ֥ן לִבְנֵי־אָדָֽם׃
hashamayim shamayim layhvah vehaarets natan livne-adam
17Os mortos não louvam ao SENHOR, nem os que descem ao silêncio.
לֹ֣א הַ֭מֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ־יָ֑הּ וְ֝לֹ֗א כָּל־יֹרְדֵ֥י דוּמָֽה׃
lo hametim yehallu-yah velo kal-yorde dumah
18Porém nós bendiremos ao SENHOR, desde agora e para sempre. Aleluia!
וַאֲנַ֤חְנוּ ׀ נְבָ֘רֵ֤ךְ יָ֗הּ מֵֽעַתָּ֥ה וְעַד־עוֹלָ֗ם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃
