Proverbs 9

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1A verdadeira sabedoria edificou sua casa; ela lavrou suas sete colunas.

חָ֭כְמוֹת בָּנְתָ֣ה בֵיתָ֑הּ חָצְבָ֖ה עַמּוּדֶ֣יהָ שִׁבְעָֽה׃

chachmot bantah vetah chatsvah amudeha shivah

2Ela sacrificou seu sacrifício, misturou seu vinho, e preparou sua mesa.

טָבְחָ֣ה טִ֭בְחָהּ מָסְכָ֣ה יֵינָ֑הּ אַ֝֗ף עָֽרְכָ֥ה שֻׁלְחָנָֽהּ׃

shalchah naaroteha tikra al-gape merome karet

yoser lets lokecha lo kalon umochicha lerasha mumo

14E se senta à porta de sua casa, sobre uma cadeira, nos lugares altos da cidade;

veyashvah lefetach betah al-kise merome karet

15Para chamar aos que passam pelo caminho, e passam por suas veredas, [dizendo] :

לִקְרֹ֥א לְעֹֽבְרֵי־דָ֑רֶךְ הַֽ֝מְיַשְּׁרִ֗ים אֹֽרְחוֹתָֽם׃

likro leovre-darech hamyashrim orchotam

16Qualquer um que for ingênuo, venha aqui! E aos que tem falta de entendimento, ela diz:
