Job 4

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Então Elifaz o temanita respondeu, dizendo:

vayaan elifaz hatemani vayomar

2Se tentarmos falar contigo, ficarás incomodado? Mas quem poderia deter as palavras?

hanisah davar elecha tileh vatsor bemilin mi yuchal

3Eis que tu ensinavas a muitos, e fortalecias as mãos fracas;

hineh yisarta rabim veyadayim rafot techazek

koshel yekimun milecha uvirkayim korot teamets

ki atah tavo elecha vatele tiga adecha vatibahel

halo yiratcha kislatecha tikvatcha vetom derachecha

kaasher raiti chorshe aven vezore amal yiktsruhu

minishmat eloha yovedu umerucha apo yichlu

shaagat aryeh vekol shachal veshine chefirim nitau

layish oved mibli-taref uvne lavi yitparadu

veelay davar yegunav vatikach azni shemets menhu

bisipim mechezyonot laylah binfol tardemah al-anashim

pachad keraani uradah verov atsmotay hifchid

verucha al-panay yachalof tesamer saarat besari

yaamod velo-akir marehu temunah leneged enay demamah vakol eshma

miboker laerev yukatu mibli mesim lanetsach yovedu

halo-nisa yitram bam yamutu velo vechachmah
