Job 3

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

achare-chen patach iov et-pihu vaykalel et-yomo

2Pois Jó respondeu, e disse:

vayaan iov vayomar

yovad yom iualed bo vehalaylah amar horah gaver

hayom hahu yehi choshech al-yidrshehu eloha mimaal veal-tofa alayv neharah

yigaluhu choshech vetsalmavet tishkan-alayv ananah yevaatuhu kimrire yom

halaylah hahu yikachehu ofel al-yichad bime shanah bemispar yerachim al-yavo

hineh halaylah hahu yehi galmud al-tavo renanah vo

yikvuhu orre-yom haatidim orer livyatan

9Escureçam-se as estrelas de sua manhã; espere a luz, e não venha, e as pálpebras não vejam o amanhecer;

yechshchu kochve nishpo yekav-leor vaayin veal-yireh beafape-shachar

ki lo sagar dalte vitni vayaster amal meenay

lamah lo merechem amut mibeten yatsati veegva

12Por que joelhos me receberam? E por que seios me amamentaram?

madua kidmuni virkayim umah-shadayim ki inak

13Pois agora eu jazeria e repousaria; dormiria, e então haveria repouso para mim;

ki-atah shachavti veeshkot yashanti az yanucha li

14Com os reis e os conselheiros da terra, que edificavam para si os desertos;

im-melachim veyoatse arets habonim choravot lamo

o im-sarim zahav lahem hammalim batehem kasef

o chenefel tamun lo ehyeh keollim lo-rau or

sham reshaim chadlu rogez vesham yanuchu yegie chocha

katon vegadol sham hu veeved chafshi meadonayv

lamah yiten leamel or vechayim lemare nafesh

21Que esperam a morte, e ela não chega, e que a buscam mais que tesouros;

hamchakim lamavet veenenu vayachpruhu mimatmonim

legever asher-darko nistarah vayasech eloha baado

24Pois antes do meu pão vem meu suspiro; e meus gemidos correm como águas.

ki-lifne lachmi anchati tavo vayitchu chamayim shaagotay

25Pois aquilo eu temia tanto veio a mim, e aquilo que tinha medo me aconteceu.

ki fachad pachadti vayeetayeni vaasher yagorti yavo li
