Job 27
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
vayosef iov seet meshalo vayomar
2Vive Deus, que tirou meu direito, o Todo-Poderoso, que amargou minha alma,
im-tedabernah sefatay avlah ulshoni im-yehgeh remiyah
chalilah li im-atsdik etchem ad-egva lo-asir tumati mimeni
6Eu me apegarei à minha justiça, e não a deixarei ir; meu coração não terá de que me acusar enquanto eu viver.
betsidkati hechezakti velo arpeha lo-yecheraf levavi miyamay
yehi cherasha oyvi umitkommi cheaual
ki mah-tikvat chanef ki yivtsa ki yeshel eloha nafsho
hatsaakato yishma el ki-tavo alayv tsarah
10Ele se deleitará no Todo-Poderoso? Invocará a Deus a todo tempo?
hen-atem kulchem chazitem velamah-zeh hevel tehbalu
zeh chelek-adam rasha im-el venachalat aritsim mishaday yikachu
14Se seus filhos se multiplicarem, serão para a espada; e seus descendentes não se fartarão de pão;
im-yitsbor keafar kasef vechachomer yachin malbush
yachin vetsadik yilbash vechesef naki yachalok
banah chaash beto uchsukah asah notser
ashir yishkav velo yeasef enayv pakach veenenu
tasigehu chamayim balahot laylah genavatu sufah
yisaehu kadim veyelach visaarehu mimkomo
veyashlech alayv velo yachmol miyado barocha yivrach
yispok alemo chapemo veyishrok alayv mimkomo
