Job 26
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Porém Jó respondeu, dizendo:
vayaan iov vayomar
meh-azarta lelo-chocha hoshata zeroa lo-oz
mah-yaatsta lelo chachmah vetushiyah larov hodata
4A quem tens dito [tais] palavras? E de quem é o espírito que sai de ti?

arom sheol negdo veen kesut laavadon
7Ele estende o norte sobre o vazio, suspende a terra sobre o nada.
noteh tsafon al-tohu toleh erets al-beli-mah
tsorer-mayim beavayv velo-nivka anan tachtam
meachez pene-chiseh parshez alayv anano
chok-chag al-pene-mayim ad-tachlit or im-choshech
amude shamayim yerofafu veyitmhu migaarato
bechocho raga hayam vvtvvntv machats rahav
berucho shamayim shifrah cholalah yado nachash baricha
