Job 24
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Por que os tempos não são marcados pelo Todo-Poderoso? Por que os que o conhecem não veem seus dias?
מַדּ֗וּעַ מִ֭שַּׁדַּי לֹא־נִצְפְּנ֣וּ עִתִּ֑ים וידעו לֹא־חָ֥זוּ יָמָֽיו׃

5Eis que como asnos selvagens no deserto eles saem a seu trabalho buscando insistentemente por comida; o deserto dá alimento a ele [e a seus] filhos.
