Job 18

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Então Bildade, o suíta, respondeu, dizendo:

vayaan bildad hashuchi vayomar

2Quando é que dareis fim às palavras? Prestai atenção, e então falaremos.

ad-anah tesimun kintse lemilin tavinu veachar nedaber

madua nechshavnu chabhemah nitminu beenechem

toref nafsho beapo halmaancha teazav arets veyetak-tsur mimkomo

gam or reshaim yidach velo-yigah sheviv isho

or chashach beaholo venero alayv yidach

yetsru tsaade ono vetashlichehu atsato

ki-shulach bereshet beraglayv veal-sevachah yithalach

9Laço o pegará pelo calcanhar; a armadilha o prenderá.

yochez beakev pach yachazek alayv tsamim

saviv biatuhu valahot vehefitsuhu leraglayv

yehi-raev ono veed nachon letsalo

yochal bade oro yochal badayv bechor mavet

yinatek meaholo mivtacho vetatsidehu lemelech balahot

mitachat sharashayv yivashu umimaal yimal ketsiro

yehdfuhu meor el-choshech umitevel yeniduhu

lo nin lo velo-neched beamo veen sarid bimgurayv

al-yomo nashamu acharonim vekadmonim achazu saar
