Job 16

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Porém Jó respondeu, dizendo:

vayaan iov vayomar

shamati cheeleh rabot menachame amal kulchem

aamitschem bemo-fi venid sefatay yachsoch

6Ainda que eu fale, minha dor não cessa; e se eu me calar, em que me alivio?

7Na verdade agora ele me tornou exausto; tu assolaste toda a minha companhia.

ach-atah helani hashimota kal-adati

13Seus flecheiros me cercaram-me, partiu meus rins, e não [me] poupou; meu fel derramou em terra.

15Costurei saco sobre minha pele, e revolvi minha cabeça no pó.

sak tafarti ale gildi veolalti veafar karni

16Meu rosto está vermelho de choro, e minhas pálpebras estão escurecidas ao extremo;

panay chmrmrh mini-vechi veal afapay tsalmavet

al lo-chamas bechapay utfilati zakah

18Ó terra!

erets al-techasi dami veal-yehi makom lezaakati

gam-atah hineh-vashamayim edi vesahadi bamromim

melitsay reay el-eloha dalfah eni
