Isaiah 55
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Ó todos vós que tendes sede, vinde às águas; e vós que não tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprai, e comei; vinde, comprai, sem dinheiro e sem preço, vinho e leite.

7Que o perverso deixe seu caminho, e o homem maligno [deixe] seus pensamentos, e converta ao SENHOR; então dele terá compaixão; [converta] ao nosso Deus, porque ele grandemente perdoa.
