Isaiah 52
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Desperta-te! Desperta-te! Veste-te de tua força, ó Sião! Veste-te de teus belos vestidos, ó Jerusalém, cidade Santa! Porque nunca mais entrará em ti nem incircunciso nem impuro.
עוּרִ֥י עוּרִ֛י לִבְשִׁ֥י עֻזֵּ֖ךְ צִיּ֑וֹן לִבְשִׁ֣י ׀ בִּגְדֵ֣י תִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִ֣יר הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ כִּ֣י לֹ֥א יוֹסִ֛יף יָבֹא־בָ֥ךְ ע֖וֹד עָרֵ֥ל וְטָמֵֽא׃
uri uri livshi uzech tsion livshi bigde tifartech yerushalim ir hakodesh ki lo yosif yavo-vach od arel vetame
2Sacode-te do pó, levanta-te, [e] senta-te, ó Jerusalém! Solta-te das ataduras de teu pescoço, ó cativa filha de Sião.
הִתְנַעֲרִ֧י מֵעָפָ֛ר ק֥וּמִי שְּׁבִ֖י יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם התפתחו מוֹסְרֵ֣י צַוָּארֵ֔ךְ שְׁבִיָּ֖ה בַּת־צִיּֽוֹן׃ ס

3Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Por nada fostes vendidos, também sem [ser por] dinheiro sereis resgatados.
כִּֽי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה חִנָּ֖ם נִמְכַּרְתֶּ֑ם וְלֹ֥א בְכֶ֖סֶף תִּגָּאֵֽלוּ׃
ki-choh amar Yahweh chinam nimkartem velo vechesef tigaelu
4Porque assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Meu povo em tempos passados desceu ao Egito para lá peregrinar; e a Assíria sem razão o oprimiu.
כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה מִצְרַ֛יִם יָֽרַד־עַמִּ֥י בָרִֽאשֹׁנָ֖ה לָג֣וּר שָׁ֑ם וְאַשּׁ֖וּר בְּאֶ֥פֶס עֲשָׁקֽוֹ׃
ki choh amar adonay Yahweh mitsrayim yarad-ami varishonah lagur sham veashur beefes ashako
5E agora, o que tenho [de fazer] aqui?,Diz o SENHOR, Pois meu povo foi tomado sem motivo algum; e os que dominam sobre ele uivam, diz o SENHOR; E meu nome continuamente, durante o dia todo, é blasfemado.
וְעַתָּ֤ה מי־לי ־ פֹה֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה כִּֽי־לֻקַּ֥ח עַמִּ֖י חִנָּ֑ם משלו יְהֵילִ֙ילוּ֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְתָמִ֥יד כָּל־הַיּ֖וֹם שְׁמִ֥י מִנֹּאָֽץ׃
veatah my-ly - foh neum-Yahweh ki-lukach ami chinam mshlv yehelilu neum-Yahweh vetamid kal-hayom shemi minoats
6Por isso meu povo conhecerá o meu nome, por esta causa naquele dia; porque eu mesmo sou o que digo, eis-me aqui.
לָכֵ֛ן יֵדַ֥ע עַמִּ֖י שְׁמִ֑י לָכֵן֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא כִּֽי־אֲנִי־ה֥וּא הַֽמְדַבֵּ֖ר הִנֵּֽנִי׃
lachen yeda ami shemi lachen bayom hahu ki-ani-hu hamdaber hineni
7Como são agradáveis sobre os montes os pés daquele que dá boas notícias, que anuncia a paz; que fala notícias do bem; que anuncia a salvação; do que diz a Sião: Teu Deus reina!
מַה־נָּאו֨וּ עַל־הֶהָרִ֜ים רַגְלֵ֣י מְבַשֵּׂ֗ר מַשְׁמִ֧יעַ שָׁל֛וֹם מְבַשֵּׂ֥ר ט֖וֹב מַשְׁמִ֣יעַ יְשׁוּעָ֑ה אֹמֵ֥ר לְצִיּ֖וֹן מָלַ֥ךְ אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃
mah-navu al-heharim ragle mevaser mashmia shalom mevaser tov mashmia yeshuah omer letsion malach elohayich
8[Eis] a voz dos teus vigilantes; eles levantam a voz, juntamente gritam de alegria; porque olho a olho verão quando o SENHOR trazer de volta a Sião.
ק֥וֹל צֹפַ֛יִךְ נָ֥שְׂאוּ ק֖וֹל יַחְדָּ֣ו יְרַנֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֣י עַ֤יִן בְּעַ֙יִן֙ יִרְא֔וּ בְּשׁ֥וּב יְהוָ֖ה צִיּֽוֹן׃
kol tsofayich nasu kol yachdav yeranenu ki ayin beayin yiru beshuv Yahweh tsion
9Gritai de alegria, jubilai juntamente, ó lugares abandonados de Jerusalém; porque o SENHOR consolou a seu povo, redimiu a Jerusalém.
פִּצְח֤וּ רַנְּנוּ֙ יַחְדָּ֔ו חָרְב֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם כִּֽי־נִחַ֤ם יְהוָה֙ עַמּ֔וֹ גָּאַ֖ל יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
pitschu rannu yachdav charvot yerushalim ki-nicham Yahweh amo gaal yerushalim
10O SENHOR expôs o seu santo braço perante os olhos de todas as nações; e todos os confins da terra verão a salvação de nosso Deus.
חָשַׂ֤ף יְהוָה֙ אֶת־זְר֣וֹעַ קָדְשׁ֔וֹ לְעֵינֵ֖י כָּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְרָאוּ֙ כָּל־אַפְסֵי־אָ֔רֶץ אֵ֖ת יְשׁוּעַ֥ת אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ ס
chasaf Yahweh et-zeroa kadsho leene kal-hagoyim verau kal-afse-arets et yeshuat elohenu
11Retirai-vos! Retirai-vos! Saí daí! Não toqueis em coisa impura! Saí do meio dela! Purificai-vos vós que levais os vasos do SENHOR!
ס֤וּרוּ ס֙וּרוּ֙ צְא֣וּ מִשָּׁ֔ם טָמֵ֖א אַל־תִּגָּ֑עוּ צְא֣וּ מִתּוֹכָ֔הּ הִבָּ֕רוּ נֹשְׂאֵ֖י כְּלֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
suru suru tseu misham tame al-tigau tseu mitochah hibaru nose kele Yahweh
12Pois vós não saireis apressadamente, nem ireis fugindo; porque o SENHOR irá adiante de vossa face, o Deus de Israel será vossa retaguarda.
כִּ֣י לֹ֤א בְחִפָּזוֹן֙ תֵּצֵ֔אוּ וּבִמְנוּסָ֖ה לֹ֣א תֵלֵכ֑וּן כִּֽי־הֹלֵ֤ךְ לִפְנֵיכֶם֙ יְהוָ֔ה וּמְאַסִּפְכֶ֖ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס
ki lo vechipazon tetseu uvimnusah lo telechun ki-holech lifnechem Yahweh umasifchem elohe yisrael
13Eis que meu servo agirá prudentemente; ele será exaltado e elevado, e muito sublime.
הִנֵּ֥ה יַשְׂכִּ֖יל עַבְדִּ֑י יָר֧וּם וְנִשָּׂ֛א וְגָבַ֖הּ מְאֹֽד׃
hineh yaskil avdi yarum venisa vegavah meod
14Como muitos se espantaram de ti, de que a aparência dele estava tão desfigurada, mais do que qualquer outro; que seu aspecto já não [parecia] com os filhos dos homens.
כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר שָׁמְמ֤וּ עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ רַבִּ֔ים כֵּן־מִשְׁחַ֥ת מֵאִ֖ישׁ מַרְאֵ֑הוּ וְתֹאֲר֖וֹ מִבְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃
kaasher shammu alecha rabim ken-mishchat meish marehu vetoaro mibne adam
15Assim ele salpicará a muitas nações, e sobre ele os reis fecharão suas bocas; porque aquilo que nunca lhes havia sido anunciado, [isso] verão; e aquilo que nunca tinham ouvido, [disso] entenderão.
כֵּ֤ן יַזֶּה֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים עָלָ֛יו יִקְפְּצ֥וּ מְלָכִ֖ים פִּיהֶ֑ם כִּ֠י אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־סֻפַּ֤ר לָהֶם֙ רָא֔וּ וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־שָׁמְע֖וּ הִתְבּוֹנָֽנוּ׃
