Isaiah 38

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

vayasev chizkiyahu panayv el-hakir vayitpalel el-Yahweh

4Então veio a palavra do SENHOR a Isaías, dizendo:

5Vai, e diz a Ezequias: Assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de teu pai Davi: Eu ouvi tua oração, [e] vi tuas lágrimas.

Então cura-me, e deixa-me viver.

20O SENHOR tem me salvado!
