Isaiah 32
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
hen letsedek yimlach-melech ulsarim lemishpat yasoru
vehayah-ish kemachave-rucha veseter zarem kefalge-mayim betsayon ketsel sela-kaved beerets ayefah
velo tishenah ene roim veazne shomim tikshavnah
ulvav nimharim yavin ladaat ulshon ilgim temaher ledaber tsachot
5Nunca mais o tolo será chamado de nobre, nem o avarento de generoso;
lo-yikare od lenaval nadiv ulchilay lo yeamer shoa
ki naval nevalah yedaber velibo yaaseh-aven laasot chonef uldaber el-Yahweh toah leharik nefesh raev umashkeh tsame yachsir

12Lamentai-vos batendo em vossos peitos por causa dos campos agradáveis e das vides frutíferas;

14Pois o palácio será abandonado, a cidade ruidosa ficará deserta; a colina e as torres de guarda serão esvaziadas para sempre, para alegria dos jumentos selvagens, e [servirão] de pasto para o gado;

16E o juízo habitará no deserto, e a justiça morará no campo fértil.
veshachan bamidbar mishpat utsdakah bakarmel teshev
vehayah maaseh hatsdakah shalom vaavodat hatsdakah hashket vavetach ad-olam

19(Granizo, porém, derrubará a floresta, e a cidade será abatida).
