Isaiah 26

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

bayom hahu yushar hashir-hazeh beerets yehudah ir az-lanu yeshuah yashit chomot vachel

pitchu shearim veyavo goy-tsadik shomer emunim

yetser samuch titsor shalom shalom ki vecha batucha

bitchu vayhvah ade-ad ki beyah Yahweh tsur olamim

af orach mishpatecha Yahweh kiuinucha leshimcha ulzichrcha taavat-nafesh
