Isaiah 25

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Ó SENHOR, tu és meu Deus; eu te exaltarei, [e] louvarei o teu nome, pois tu tens feito maravilhas, [teus] conselhos antigos, [com] fidelidade e verdade.

Yahweh elohay atah aromimcha odeh shimcha ki asita pele etsot merachok emunah omen

ki samta meir lagal kiryah vetsurah lemapelah armon zarim meir leolam lo yibaneh

10Pois a mão do SENHOR descansará neste monte; Moabe, porém, será esmagado debaixo dele, tal como se esmaga a palha no amontoado de esterco.
