Isaiah 21
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Revelação sobre o deserto do mar:Assim como os turbilhões de vento passam pelo Negueve, assim algo vem do deserto, de uma terra temível.
