Isaiah 15
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Revelação sobre Moabe: Certamente em uma noite é destruída Ar-Moabe; [e] é devastada; certamente em uma noite é destruída Quir-Moabe, [e] é devastada.
מַשָּׂ֖א מוֹאָ֑ב כִּ֠י בְּלֵ֞יל שֻׁדַּ֨ד עָ֤ר מוֹאָב֙ נִדְמָ֔ה כִּ֗י בְּלֵ֛יל שֻׁדַּ֥ד קִיר־מוֹאָ֖ב נִדְמָֽה׃
masa moav ki belel shudad ar moav nidmah ki belel shudad kir-moav nidmah
2[Os moradores] sobem ao templo, e a Dibom, aos lugares altos, para chorar; Moabe grita de lamento por Nebo e por Medeba; em todas as suas cabeças há calva, e toda barba está raspada.
עָלָ֨ה הַבַּ֧יִת וְדִיבֹ֛ן הַבָּמ֖וֹת לְבֶ֑כִי עַל־נְב֞וֹ וְעַ֤ל מֵֽידְבָא֙ מוֹאָ֣ב יְיֵלִ֔יל בְּכָל־רֹאשָׁ֣יו קָרְחָ֔ה כָּל־זָקָ֖ן גְּרוּעָֽה׃
alah habayit vedivon habamot levechi al-nevo veal medva moav yeyelil bechal-roshayv karchah kal-zakan geruah
3Eles se vestem de sacos em suas ruas; em seus terraços, e em suas praças todos andam gritando de lamento, e descem chorando.
בְּחוּצֹתָ֖יו חָ֣גְרוּ שָׂ֑ק עַ֣ל גַּגּוֹתֶ֧יהָ וּבִרְחֹבֹתֶ֛יהָ כֻּלֹּ֥ה יְיֵלִ֖יל יֹרֵ֥ד בַּבֶּֽכִי׃
bechutsotayv chagru sak al gagoteha uvirchovoteha kuloh yeyelil yored babechi
4Tanto Hesbom como Eleale vão gritando, até Jaaz se ouve sua voz; por causa disso os soldados armados de Moabe gritam, a alma de cada um está abalada dentro de si.
וַתִּזְעַ֤ק חֶשְׁבּוֹן֙ וְאֶלְעָלֵ֔ה עַד־יַ֖הַץ נִשְׁמַ֣ע קוֹלָ֑ם עַל־כֵּ֗ן חֲלֻצֵ֤י מוֹאָב֙ יָרִ֔יעוּ נַפְשׁ֖וֹ יָ֥רְעָה לּֽוֹ׃
vatizak cheshbon veelaleh ad-yahats nishma kolam al-ken chalutse moav yariu nafsho yarah lo
5Meu coração dá gritos por Moabe, seus fugitivos [foram] até Zoar [e] Eglate-Selisia; pois sobem com choro pela subida de Luíte, pois no caminho de Horonaim levantam um grito de desespero.
לִבִּי֙ לְמוֹאָ֣ב יִזְעָ֔ק בְּרִיחֶ֕הָ עַד־צֹ֖עַר עֶגְלַ֣ת שְׁלִשִׁיָּ֑ה כִּ֣י ׀ מַעֲלֵ֣ה הַלּוּחִ֗ית בִּבְכִי֙ יַֽעֲלֶה־בּ֔וֹ כִּ֚י דֶּ֣רֶךְ חוֹרֹנַ֔יִם זַעֲקַת־שֶׁ֖בֶר יְעֹעֵֽרוּ׃
libi lemoav yizak bericheha ad-tsoar eglat shelishiyah ki maaleh haluchit bivchi yaaleh-bo ki derech choronayim zaakat-shever yeoeru
6Pois as águas de Ninrim se acabaram; pois a grama se secou, as plantas pereceram, e não há mais vegetal verde.
כִּֽי־מֵ֥י נִמְרִ֖ים מְשַׁמּ֣וֹת יִֽהְי֑וּ כִּֽי־יָבֵ֤שׁ חָצִיר֙ כָּ֣לָה דֶ֔שֶׁא יֶ֖רֶק לֹ֥א הָיָֽה׃
ki-me nimrim meshamot yihyu ki-yavesh chatsir kalah deshe yerek lo hayah
7Por isso levarão os bens que acumularam e seus pertences ao ribeiro dos salgueiros.
עַל־כֵּ֖ן יִתְרָ֣ה עָשָׂ֑ה וּפְקֻדָּתָ֔ם עַ֛ל נַ֥חַל הָעֲרָבִ֖ים יִשָּׂאֽוּם׃
al-ken yitrah asah ufkudatam al nachal haaravim yisaum
8Porque o pranto rodeia aos limites de Moabe; até Eglaim chega seu grito de lamento, e até Beer-Elim sua lamentação.
כִּֽי־הִקִּ֥יפָה הַזְּעָקָ֖ה אֶת־גְּב֣וּל מוֹאָ֑ב עַד־אֶגְלַ֙יִם֙ יִלְלָתָ֔הּ וּבְאֵ֥ר אֵילִ֖ים יִלְלָתָֽהּ׃
ki-hikifah hazakah et-gevul moav ad-eglayim yillatah uver elim yillatah
9Pois as águas de Dimom estão cheias de sangue, porém porei em Dimom ainda outros mais: um leão aos que escaparem de Moabe, e aos sobreviventes da terra.
כִּ֣י מֵ֤י דִימוֹן֙ מָ֣לְאוּ דָ֔ם כִּֽי־אָשִׁ֥ית עַל־דִּימ֖וֹן נוֹסָפ֑וֹת לִפְלֵיטַ֤ת מוֹאָב֙ אַרְיֵ֔ה וְלִשְׁאֵרִ֖ית אֲדָמָֽה׃
ki me dimon malu dam ki-ashit al-dimon nosafot lifletat moav aryeh velisherit adamah
