Hosea 6

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

lechu venashuvah el-Yahweh ki hu taraf veyirpaenu yach veyachbshenu

yechayenu miyomayim bayom hashlishi yekimenu venichyeh lefanayv

venedah nirdfah ladaat et-Yahweh keshachar nachon motsao veyavo chageshem lanu kemalkosh yoreh arets

4Que farei a ti, ó Efraim?

mah eeseh-lecha efrayim mah eeseh-lecha yehudah vechasdchem kaanan-boker vechatal mashkim holech

al-ken chatsavti banviim haragtim beimre-fi umishpatecha or yetse

gilad kiryat poale aven akubah midam

uchchake ish gedudim chever kohanim derech yeratschu-shechmah ki zimah asu

bevet yisrael raiti shryryh sham zenut leefrayim nitma yisrael
