Ezekiel 9
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1Então ele gritou em meus ouvidos com alta voz, dizendo: Fazei chegar os encarregados de punir a cidade, e cada com sua armas destruidoras em sua mão.
וַיִּקְרָ֣א בְאָזְנַ֗י ק֤וֹל גָּדוֹל֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר קָרְב֖וּ פְּקֻדּ֣וֹת הָעִ֑יר וְאִ֛ישׁ כְּלִ֥י מַשְׁחֵת֖וֹ בְּיָדֽוֹ׃

2E eis que seis homens vinham do caminho da porta alta, que está voltada para o norte, e cada um trazia em sua mão sua arma destruidora. E entre eles havia um homem vestido de linho, com um estojo de escrivão em sua cintura; e entraram, e se puseram junto ao altar de bronze.
וְהִנֵּ֣ה שִׁשָּׁ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֡ים בָּאִ֣ים ׀ מִדֶּרֶךְ־שַׁ֨עַר הָעֶלְי֜וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ מָפְנֶ֣ה צָפ֗וֹנָה וְאִ֨ישׁ כְּלִ֤י מַפָּצוֹ֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ וְאִישׁ־אֶחָ֤ד בְּתוֹכָם֙ לָבֻ֣שׁ בַּדִּ֔ים וְקֶ֥סֶת הַסֹּפֵ֖ר בְּמָתְנָ֑יו וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ וַיַּ֣עַמְד֔וּ אֵ֖צֶל מִזְבַּ֥ח הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃

3E a glória do Deus de Israel levantou-se do querubim sobre o qual estava, até a entrada da casa; e chamou ao homem vestido de linho, que tinha o estojo de escrivão à sua cintura,
וּכְב֣וֹד ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל נַעֲלָה֙ מֵעַ֤ל הַכְּרוּב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֣ה עָלָ֔יו אֶ֖ל מִפְתַּ֣ן הַבָּ֑יִת וַיִּקְרָ֗א אֶל־הָאִישׁ֙ הַלָּבֻ֣שׁ הַבַּדִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֛ר קֶ֥סֶת הַסֹּפֵ֖ר בְּמָתְנָֽיו׃ ס

4E o SENHOR lhe disse: Passa por meio da cidade, por meio de Jerusalém; e põe uma sinal na testa dos homens que suspiram e que gemem por causa de todas as abominações que se cometem no meio dela.
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אלו עֲבֹר֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעִ֔יר בְּת֖וֹךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְהִתְוִ֨יתָ תָּ֜ו עַל־מִצְח֣וֹת הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים הַנֶּֽאֱנָחִים֙ וְהַנֶּ֣אֱנָקִ֔ים עַ֚ל כָּל־הַתּ֣וֹעֵב֔וֹת הַֽנַּעֲשׂ֖וֹת בְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃

5E aos outros disse a meus ouvidos: Passai pela cidade depois dele, e feri; vossos olhos não poupem, nem tenhais compaixão.
וּלְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ אָמַ֣ר בְּאָזְנַ֔י עִבְר֥וּ בָעִ֛יר אַחֲרָ֖יו וְהַכּ֑וּ על ־תָּחֹ֥ס עיניכם וְאַל־תַּחְמֹֽלוּ׃
uleleh amar beaznay ivru vair acharayv vehaku l -tachos ynychm veal-tachmolu
6Matai velhos, rapazes e virgens, meninos e mulheres, até os acabardes por completo; porém não chegueis a toda pessoa sobre a qual houver o sinal; e começai desde meu santuário. Então começaram desde os anciãos que estavam diante do templo.
זָקֵ֡ן בָּח֣וּר וּבְתוּלָה֩ וְטַ֨ף וְנָשִׁ֜ים תַּהַרְג֣וּ לְמַשְׁחִ֗ית וְעַל־כָּל־אִ֨ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־עָלָ֤יו הַתָּו֙ אַל־תִּגַּ֔שׁוּ וּמִמִּקְדָּשִׁ֖י תָּחֵ֑לּוּ וַיָּחֵ֙לּוּ֙ בָּאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הַזְּקֵנִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר לִפְנֵ֥י הַבָּֽיִת׃
zaken bachur uvtulah vetaf venashim tahargu lemashchit veal-kal-ish asher-alayv hatav al-tigashu umimikdashi tachelu vayachelu baanashim hazkenim asher lifne habayit
7E disse-lhes: Contaminai a casa, e enchei os pátios de mortos; saí. Então saíram, e feriram na cidade.
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם טַמְּא֣וּ אֶת־הַבַּ֗יִת וּמַלְא֧וּ אֶת־הַחֲצֵר֛וֹת חֲלָלִ֖ים צֵ֑אוּ וְיָצְא֖וּ וְהִכּ֥וּ בָעִֽיר׃
vayomer alehem tamu et-habayit umalu et-hachatserot chalalim tseu veyatsu vehiku vair
8E aconteceu que, havendo os ferido, e eu ficando de resto, caí sobre meu rosto, clamei, e disse: Ah, Senhor DEUS! Por acaso destruirás todo o restante de Israel, derramando tua ira sobre Jerusalém?
וַֽיְהִי֙ כְּהַכּוֹתָ֔ם וְנֵֽאשֲׁאַ֖ר אָ֑נִי וָאֶפְּלָ֨ה עַל־פָּנַ֜י וָאֶזְעַ֗ק וָֽאֹמַר֙ אֲהָהּ֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הֲמַשְׁחִ֣ית אַתָּ֗ה אֵ֚ת כָּל־שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בְּשָׁפְכְּךָ֥ אֶת־חֲמָתְךָ֖ עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
vayhi kehakotam veneshaar ani vaeplah al-panay vaezak vaomar ahah adonay Yahweh hamashchit atah et kal-sheerit yisrael beshafkcha et-chamatcha al-yerushalim
9Então me disse: A maldade da casa de Israel e de Judá é extremamente grande; e a terra se encheu de sangues, e a cidade se encheu de perversidade; pois dizem: O SENHOR abandonou a terra, e o SENHOR não vê.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י עֲוֺ֨ן בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל וִֽיהוּדָה֙ גָּדוֹל֙ בִּמְאֹ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד וַתִּמָּלֵ֤א הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ דָּמִ֔ים וְהָעִ֖יר מָלְאָ֣ה מֻטֶּ֑ה כִּ֣י אָמְר֗וּ עָזַ֤ב יְהוָה֙ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ וְאֵ֥ין יְהוָ֖ה רֹאֶֽה׃
vayomer elay aon bet-yisrael vihudah gadol bimod meod vatimale haarets damim vehair malah muteh ki amru azav Yahweh et-haarets veen Yahweh roeh
10Por isso quanto a mim, meu olho não poupará, nem terei compaixão; retribuirei o caminho deles sobre suas cabeças.
וְגַ֨ם־אֲנִ֔י לֹא־תָח֥וֹס עֵינִ֖י וְלֹ֣א אֶחְמֹ֑ל דַּרְכָּ֖ם בְּרֹאשָׁ֥ם נָתָֽתִּי׃
vegam-ani lo-tachos eni velo echmol darkam berosham natati
11E eis que o homem vestido de linho, que tinha o estojo na cintura, trouxe resposta, dizendo: Fiz conforme o que me mandaste.
וְהִנֵּ֞ה הָאִ֣ישׁ ׀ לְבֻ֣שׁ הַבַּדִּ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר הַקֶּ֙סֶת֙ בְּמָתְנָ֔יו מֵשִׁ֥יב דָּבָ֖ר לֵאמֹ֑ר עָשִׂ֕יתִי כאשר צִוִּיתָֽנִי׃ ס
