Ezekiel 2
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
1E Disse-me: Filho do homem, fica de pé, e falarei contigo.
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אֵלָ֑י בֶּן־אָדָם֙ עֲמֹ֣ד עַל־רַגְלֶ֔יךָ וַאֲדַבֵּ֖ר אֹתָֽךְ׃
vayomer elay ben-adam amod al-raglecha vaadaber otach
2Então entrou em mim o Espírito enquanto falava comigo, e fez-me ficar de pé, e ouvi àquele que estava falando comigo.
וַתָּ֧בֹא בִ֣י ר֗וּחַ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר אֵלַ֔י וַתַּעֲמִדֵ֖נִי עַל־רַגְלָ֑י וָאֶשְׁמַ֕ע אֵ֖ת מִדַּבֵּ֥ר אֵלָֽי׃ פ
vatavo vi rucha kaasher diber elay vataamideni al-raglay vaeshma et midaber elay
3E disse-me: Filho do homem, eu te envio aos filhos de Israel, às nações rebeldes que se rebelaram contra mim; eles e seus pais têm transgredido contra mim até este dia de hoje.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י בֶּן־אָדָם֙ שׁוֹלֵ֨חַ אֲנִ֤י אֽוֹתְךָ֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶל־גּוֹיִ֥ם הַמּוֹרְדִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר מָרְדוּ־בִ֑י הֵ֤מָּה וַאֲבוֹתָם֙ פָּ֣שְׁעוּ בִ֔י עַד־עֶ֖צֶם הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
vayomer elay ben-adam sholecha ani otcha el-bene yisrael el-goyim hamordim asher mardu-vi hemah vaavotam pashu vi ad-etsem hayom hazeh
4Pois são filhos duros de rosto e obstinados de coração; eu te envio a eles; e tu lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS.
וְהַבָּנִ֗ים קְשֵׁ֤י פָנִים֙ וְחִזְקֵי־לֵ֔ב אֲנִ֛י שׁוֹלֵ֥חַ אוֹתְךָ֖ אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהֹוִֽה׃
vehabanim keshe fanim vechizke-lev ani sholecha otcha alehem veamarta alehem koh amar adonay Yahweh
5E eles, quer ouçam, quer deixem [de ouvir] ,(pois são uma casa rebelde) mesmo assim saberão que houve profeta entre eles.
וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ אִם־יִשְׁמְע֣וּ וְאִם־יֶחְדָּ֔לוּ כִּ֛י בֵּ֥ית מְרִ֖י הֵ֑מָּה וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ כִּ֥י נָבִ֖יא הָיָ֥ה בְתוֹכָֽם׃ פ
vehemah im-yishmu veim-yechdalu ki bet meri hemah veyadu ki navi hayah vetocham
6E tu, filho do homem, não os temas, nem temas suas palavras, ainda que estejas entre sarças e espinheiros, e tu habites com escorpiões; não temas suas palavras, nem te espantes pela presença deles, ainda que sejam uma casa rebelde.
וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָ֠דָם אַל־תִּירָ֨א מֵהֶ֜ם וּמִדִּבְרֵיהֶ֣ם אַל־תִּירָ֗א כִּ֣י סָרָבִ֤ים וְסַלּוֹנִים֙ אוֹתָ֔ךְ וְאֶל־עַקְרַבִּ֖ים אַתָּ֣ה יוֹשֵׁ֑ב מִדִּבְרֵיהֶ֤ם אַל־תִּירָא֙ וּמִפְּנֵיהֶ֣ם אַל־תֵּחָ֔ת כִּ֛י בֵּ֥ית מְרִ֖י הֵֽמָּה׃
veatah ven-adam al-tira mehem umidivrehem al-tira ki saravim vesalonim otach veel-akrabim atah yoshev midivrehem al-tira umipnehem al-techat ki bet meri hemah
7Tu falarás minhas palavras, quer ouçam, quer deixem [de ouvir] ; pois são rebeldes.
וְדִבַּרְתָּ֤ אֶת־דְּבָרַי֙ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אִֽם־יִשְׁמְע֖וּ וְאִם־יֶחְדָּ֑לוּ כִּ֥י מְרִ֖י הֵֽמָּה׃ פ
vedibarta et-devaray alehem im-yishmu veim-yechdalu ki meri hemah
8Porém tu, filho do homem, ouve o que eu te falo; não sejas rebelde como a casa rebelde; abre a tua boca, e come o que eu te dou.
וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם שְׁמַע֙ אֵ֤ת אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִי֙ מְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֔יךָ אַל־תְּהִי־מֶ֖רִי כְּבֵ֣ית הַמֶּ֑רִי פְּצֵ֣ה פִ֔יךָ וֶאֱכֹ֕ל אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֖י נֹתֵ֥ן אֵלֶֽיךָ׃
veatah ven-adam shema et asher-ani medaber elecha al-tehi-meri kevet hameri petseh ficha veechol et asher-ani noten elecha
9Então eu vi e eis que uma mão foi estendida para mim, e eis que nela havia um rolo de livro.
וָאֶרְאֶ֕ה וְהִנֵּה־יָ֖ד שְׁלוּחָ֣ה אֵלָ֑י וְהִנֵּה־ב֖וֹ מְגִלַּת־סֵֽפֶר ׃
vaereh vehineh-yad sheluchah elay vehineh-vo megilat-sefer
10E o estendeu diante de mim, e estava escrito pela frente, e por detrás: e nele estavam escritas lamentações, suspiros, e ais.
וַיִּפְרֹ֤שׂ אוֹתָהּ֙ לְפָנַ֔י וְהִ֥יא כְתוּבָ֖ה פָּנִ֣ים וְאָח֑וֹר וְכָת֣וּב אֵלֶ֔יהָ קִנִ֥ים וָהֶ֖גֶה וָהִֽי׃ ס
vayifros otah lefanay vehi chetuvah panim veachor vechatuv eleha kinim vahegeh vahi
