Exodus 5

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Depois entraram Moisés e Arão a Faraó, e lhe disseram: O SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, disse assim: Deixa ir meu povo a celebrar-me festa no deserto.

veachar bau mosheh veaharon vayomru el-paroh koh-amar Yahweh elohe yisrael shalach et-ami veyachogu li bamidbar

vayomer paroh mi Yahweh asher eshma bekolo leshalach et-yisrael lo yadati et-Yahweh vegam et-yisrael lo ashalecha

Ide a vossas cargas.

vayomer paroh hen-rabim atah am haarets vehishbatem otam misivlotam

7De aqui adiante não dareis palha ao povo para fazer tijolos, como ontem e antes de ontem; vão eles e recolham por si mesmos a palha;

18Ide, pois, agora, e trabalhai.
