Esther 5

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

3Então o rei disse: O que tens, rainha Ester? E qual é a tua petição? Até a metade do reino será dada a ti.

7Então Ester respondeu, dizendo: Minha petição e minha demanda é:

vataan ester vatomar sheelati uvakashati

13Porém tudo isto não me satisfaz, enquanto eu ver o judeu Mardoqueu sentado à porta do rei.
