Ecclesiastes 1

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

divre kohelet ben-david melech birushalim

2Futilidade das futilidades! - diz o Pregador - futilidade das futilidades! Tudo é fútil!

havel havalim amar kohelet havel havalim hakol havel

mah-yitron laadam bechal-amalo sheyaamol tachat hashamesh

4Geração vai, e geração vem; porém a terra permanece para sempre.

dor holech vedor ba vehaarets leolam omadet

vezarach hashemesh uva hashamesh veel-mekomo shoef zorecha hu sham

holech el-darom vesovev el-tsafon sovev sovev holech harucha veal-sevivotayv shav harucha

kal-hanchalim holchim el-hayam vehayam enenu male el-mekom shehanchalim holchim sham hem shavim lalachet

kal-hadvarim yegeim lo-yuchal ish ledaber lo-tisba ayin lirot velo-timale ozen mishmoa

mah-shehayah hu sheyihyeh umah-shenaasah hu sheyeaseh veen kal-chadash tachat hashamesh

yesh davar sheyomar reeh-zeh chadash hu kevar hayah leolamim asher hayah milfanenu

en zichron larishonim vegam laacharonim sheyihyu lo-yihyeh lahem zikaron im sheyihyu laacharonah

ani kohelet hayiti melech al-yisrael birushalim

venatati et-libi lidrosh velatur bachachmah al kal-asher naasah tachat hashamayim hu inyan ra natan elohim livne haadam laanot bo

raiti et-kal- hamaasim shenaasu tachat hashamesh vehineh hakol hevel urut rucha

meuuat lo-yuchal litkon vechesron lo-yuchal lehimanot

dibarti ani im-libi lemor ani hineh higdalti vehosafti chachmah al kal-asher-hayah lefanay al-yerushalim velibi raah harbeh chachmah vadaat

vaetnah libi ladaat chachmah vedaat holelot vesichlut yadati shegam-zeh hu rayon rucha

ki berov chachmah rav-kaas veyosif daat yosif machov
