Deuteronomy 15

Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE) + Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)

Hide the originalView word by word

Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.

1Ao fim de sete anos farás remissão.

מִקֵּ֥ץ שֶֽׁבַע־שָׁנִ֖ים תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה שְׁמִטָּֽה׃

2E esta é a maneira da remissão: perdoará a seu devedor todo aquele que fez empréstimo de sua mão, com que obrigou a seu próximo: não o exigirá mais a seu próximo, ou a seu irmão; porque a remissão do SENHOR é proclamada.
