2 Corinthians 2
Below each verse in the original comes an approximate reading, in italics, for anyone who wants to pronounce the text aloud. It is not academic transliteration: it does not mark stress or settle the cases that depend on grammatical analysis, and the four-letter Name is read “Yahweh”, by the founder’s decision — the Hebrew pointing instructs saying “Adonai”, and Portuguese Bibles render it “SENHOR”.
ekrina de emauto tuto to me palin elthein en lupe pros humas
Εἰ γὰρ ἐγὼ λυπῶ ὑμᾶς, καὶ τίς ἐστιν ὁ εὐφραίνων με, εἰ μὴ ὁ λυπούμενος ἐξ ἐμοῦ;
ei gar ego lupo humas kai tis estin ho eufrainon me ei me ho lupumenos ex emu
kai egrapsa humin tuto auto hina me elthon lupen echo af hon edei me chairein pepoithos epi pantas humas hoti he eme chara panton humon estin
ek gar polles thlipseos kai sunoches kardias egrapsa humin dia pollon dakruon uch hina lupethete alla ten agapen hina gnote hen echo perissoteros eis humas
ei de tis lelupeken uk eme lelupeken all apo merus hina me epibaro pantas humas
6Basta ao tal esta repreensão feita pela maioria.
hikanon to toiuto he epitimia haute he hupo ton pleionon
hoste tunantion mallon humas charisasthai kai parakalesai mepos te perissotera lupe katapothe ho toiutos

11Porque não ignoramos seus pensamentos.

hina me pleonektethomen hupo tu satana u gar autu ta noemata agnoumen

13Porém, despedindo-me deles, eu parti para a Macedônia.

to de theo charis to pantote thriambeuonti hemas en to christo kai ten osmen tes gnoseos autu fanerunti di hemon en panti topo
hoti christu euodia esmen to theo en tois sodzomenois kai en tois apollumenois
οἷς μὲν ὀσμὴ θανάτου εἰς θάνατον, οἷς δὲ ὀσμὴ ζωῆς εἰς ζωήν. Καὶ πρὸς ταῦτα τίς ἱκανός;
hois men osme thanatu eis thanaton hois de osme dzoes eis dzoen kai pros tauta tis hikanos
