1E disse Davi em seu coração: Ao fim serei morto algum dia pela mão de Saul: nada portanto me será melhor que fugir à terra dos filisteus, para que Saul se deixe de mim, e não me ande buscando mais por todos os termos de Israel, e assim me escaparei de suas mãos.

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִד֙ אֶל־לִבּ֔וֹ עַתָּ֛ה אֶסָּפֶ֥ה יוֹם־אֶחָ֖ד בְּיַד־שָׁא֑וּל אֵֽין־לִ֨י ט֜וֹב כִּ֣י הִמָּלֵ֥ט אִמָּלֵ֣ט ׀ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וְנוֹאַ֨שׁ מִמֶּ֤נִּי שָׁאוּל֙ לְבַקְשֵׁ֤נִי עוֹד֙ בְּכָל־גְּב֣וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְנִמְלַטְתִּ֖י מִיָּדֽוֹ׃

vayomer david el-libo atah esafeh yom-echad beyad-shaul en-li tov ki himalet imalet el-erets pelishtim venoash mimeni shaul levaksheni od bechal-gevul yisrael venimlatti miyado

2Levantou-se, pois Davi, e com os seiscentos homens que tinha consigo passou-se a Aquis filho de Maoque, rei de Gate.

וַיָּ֣קָם דָּוִ֔ד וַיַּעֲבֹ֣ר ה֔וּא וְשֵׁשׁ־מֵא֥וֹת אִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עִמּ֑וֹ אֶל־אָכִ֥ישׁ בֶּן־מָע֖וֹךְ מֶ֥לֶךְ גַּֽת׃

vayakam david vayaavor hu veshesh-meot ish asher imo el-achish ben-maoch melech gat

3E morou Davi com Aquis em Gate, ele e os seus, cada um com sua família: Davi com suas duas mulheres, Ainoã jezreelita, e Abigail, a que foi mulher de Nabal o do Carmelo.

וַיֵּשֶׁב֩ דָּוִ֨ד עִם־אָכִ֥ישׁ בְּגַ֛ת ה֥וּא וַאֲנָשָׁ֖יו אִ֣ישׁ וּבֵית֑וֹ דָּוִד֙ וּשְׁתֵּ֣י נָשָׁ֔יו אֲחִינֹ֙עַם֙ הַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֔ית וַאֲבִיגַ֥יִל אֵֽשֶׁת־נָבָ֖ל הַֽכַּרְמְלִֽית׃

vayeshev david im-achish begat hu vaanashayv ish uveto david ushte nashayv achinoam hayizrelit vaavigayil eshet-naval hakarmlit

4E veio a nova a Saul que Davi se havia fugido a Gate, e não o buscou mais.

וַיֻּגַּ֣ד לְשָׁא֔וּל כִּֽי־בָרַ֥ח דָּוִ֖ד גַּ֑ת וְלֹֽא־יוסף ע֖וֹד לְבַקְשֽׁוֹ׃ ס

vayugad leshaul ki-varach david gat velo-yvsf od levaksho

5E Davi disse a Aquis: Se achei agora favor em teus olhos, seja-me dado lugar em algumas das cidades da terra, de onde eu habite; por que teu servo deverá morar contigo na cidade real?

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר דָּוִ֜ד אֶל־אָכִ֗ישׁ אִם־נָא֩ מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ יִתְּנוּ־לִ֣י מָק֗וֹם בְּאַחַ֛ת עָרֵ֥י הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה וְאֵ֣שְׁבָה שָּׁ֑ם וְלָ֨מָּה יֵשֵׁ֧ב עַבְדְּךָ֛ בְּעִ֥יר הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ׃

vayomer david el-achish im-na matsati chen beenecha yitnu-li makom beachat are hasadeh veeshvah sham velamah yeshev avdcha beir hamamlachah imach

6E Aquis lhe deu aquele dia a Ziclague. De aqui foi Ziclague dos reis de Judá até hoje.

וַיִּתֶּן־ל֥וֹ אָכִ֛ישׁ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא אֶת־צִֽקְלָ֑ג לָכֵ֞ן הָיְתָ֤ה צִֽקְלַג֙ לְמַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ פ

vayiten-lo achish bayom hahu et-tsiklag lachen haytah tsiklag lemalche yehudah ad hayom hazeh

7E foi o número dos dias que Davi habitou na terra dos filisteus, quatro meses e alguns dias.

וַֽיְהִי֙ מִסְפַּ֣ר הַיָּמִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־יָשַׁ֥ב דָּוִ֖ד בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה פְלִשְׁתִּ֑ים יָמִ֖ים וְאַרְבָּעָ֥ה חֳדָשִֽׁים׃

vayhi mispar hayamim asher-yashav david bisdeh felishtim yamim vearbaah chodashim

8E subia Davi com os seus, e faziam entradas nos gesuritas, e nos gersitas, e nos amalequitas: porque estes habitavam de longo tempo a terra, desde como se vai a Sur até a terra do Egito.

וַיַּ֤עַל דָּוִד֙ וַֽאֲנָשָׁ֔יו וַֽיִּפְשְׁט֛וּ אֶל־הַגְּשׁוּרִ֥י והגרזי וְהָעֲמָלֵקִ֑י כִּ֣י הֵ֜נָּה יֹשְׁב֤וֹת הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר מֵֽעוֹלָ֔ם בּוֹאֲךָ֥ שׁ֖וּרָה וְעַד־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

vayaal david vaanashayv vayifshtu el-hagshuri vhgrzy vehaamaleki ki henah yoshvot haarets asher meolam boacha shurah vead-erets mitsrayim

9E Davi aquela terra, e não deixava com vida homem nem mulher; e levava as ovelhas, as vacas, os asnos e os camelos e as roupas; e voltava, e vinha a Aquis.

וְהִכָּ֤ה דָוִד֙ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ וְלֹ֥א יְחַיֶּ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ וְאִשָּׁ֑ה וְלָקַח֩ צֹ֨אן וּבָקָ֜ר וַחֲמֹרִ֤ים וּגְמַלִּים֙ וּבְגָדִ֔ים וַיָּ֖שָׁב וַיָּבֹ֥א אֶל־אָכִֽישׁ׃

vehikah david et-haarets velo yechayeh ish veishah velakach tson uvakar vachamorim ugmalim uvgadim vayashav vayavo el-achish

10E dizia Aquis: Onde atacastes hoje? E Davi dizia: Ao sul de Judá, e ao sul de Jerameel, ou contra o sul dos queneus.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אָכִ֔ישׁ אַל־פְּשַׁטְתֶּ֖ם הַיּ֑וֹם וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֗ד עַל־נֶ֤גֶב יְהוּדָה֙ וְעַל־נֶ֣גֶב הַיַּרְחְמְאֵלִ֔י וְאֶל־נֶ֖גֶב הַקֵּינִֽי׃

vayomer achish al-peshattem hayom vayomer david al-negev yehudah veal-negev hayarchmeli veel-negev hakeni

11Nem homem nem mulher deixava à vida Davi, que viesse a Gate; dizendo: Porque não deem aviso de nós, dizendo: Isto fez Davi. E este era seu costume todo aquele tempo que morou em terra dos filisteus.

וְאִ֨ישׁ וְאִשָּׁ֜ה לֹֽא־יְחַיֶּ֣ה דָוִ֗ד לְהָבִ֥יא גַת֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר פֶּן־יַגִּ֥דוּ עָלֵ֖ינוּ לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּֽה־עָשָׂ֤ה דָוִד֙ וְכֹ֣ה מִשְׁפָּט֔וֹ כָּל־הַ֨יָּמִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָשַׁ֖ב בִּשְׂדֵ֥ה פְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃

veish veishah lo-yechayeh david lehavi gat lemor pen-yagidu alenu lemor koh-asah david vechoh mishpato kal-hayamim asher yashav bisdeh felishtim

12E Aquis confiava em Davi, dizendo assim: Ele se faz abominável em seu povo de Israel, e será meu servo para sempre.

וַיַּאֲמֵ֥ן אָכִ֖ישׁ בְּדָוִ֣ד לֵאמֹ֑ר הַבְאֵ֤שׁ הִבְאִישׁ֙ בְּעַמּ֣וֹ בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהָ֥יָה לִ֖י לְעֶ֥בֶד עוֹלָֽם׃ פ
